Our Media Releases
MEDIA RELEASE 1
Please allow us to introduce ourselves. Our Names are Brydon and Ira.
We are embarking on a quest to travel to Vancouver and Whistler to conduct interviews during the 2010 Winter Olympics. What makes us unique is our gimmick.
We are using a Limo as our backdrop and accommodation. We will be living in the Limo and uploading our HD video interviews to Youtube - channel "livinginalimo" and this website www.livinginalimo.com. We plan to eat and sleep in the Limo for the entire Olympics while attending special events and conducting interviews.
To date we have been interviewed by Sophie Lui of Global TV, Dana Hutchings of CHEK and Ed Bain of the Q 100.3 FM. During the Olympics we also have a daily guest spot on the ZONE 93.1 FM with Jeremy Baker and KISM 92.9 with Brad and John.
Our goal is to produce a documentary chronicling the feelings of a cross section of ordinary BC citizens, Canadian and foreign guests and those directly involved in the production of the games, with some fun and antics thrown in.
We would like to make our story and videos available to your media outlet.
Please feel free to contact us if you would like to use any of our content or would like more information.
Sincerely,
Brydon Parker & Ira Hunter
The Limo Boys
MEDIA RELEASE 2 - ADVENTURES OF THE LIMO BOYS UPDATE
Well the “The Limo Boys” have sure made their mark on the Olympics and the world. They have become the Media Sensation they set out to be.
“The limo project” as they like to call it has been an awesome success thanks to all of you tuning in cheering them on and the media attention they have been given. They have managed to capture 1.5 terabytes of footage and thousands of photographs. They will continue to post content from the Olympics and additional footage and photos from their next adventure so stay tuned.
They are now very broke and very tired but they have had a blast and will remember this always.
Using the Limo as their backdrop and accommodation, they have spent the last two weeks living in the Limo and uploading HD video interviews to Youtube - channel "livinginalimo" and this website www.livinginalimo.com. They have eaten and slept in the Limo for the entire Olympics while attending special events and conducting interviews.
The billon dollars in security and anti-ambush media tactics has not posed a threat to the guys.
What eveyone hasn't seen is the other side of the project. Their poor two man video crew have been following the boys around and living in similar accommodations (ie their van or on floors of friends). The working conditions for these two have been just as bad as the guys try and edit the video in their vehicles as they travel to the next location. Trying to upload video from internet cafes has also posed a challenge.
Hopefully for their next adventure they will have some funding from a specialty network for real beds and better working conditions.
Please continue to tune in for MORE EPISODES.
It has been quite an accomplishment for the team.
The youtube videos are being viewed by people all over the world. The Limo Boys have been featured on many TV and Radio stations and in Newspapers.
Links to these interviews are on the episodes page.
